I may need more of that later. Like some more Mudslide. Mmm. That was so good. Soo, soo, soo good. Gonna have to get one at TGI Friday's to see how that tastes. But the one in the bottle is very good, too. Spent the Fourth with Katie and her family. Lots of fun. I love them. She has a cool mom and a cool sister. I don't know Bret, her sister's fiance that well, but he's nice.

I'm soo tired now. Lack of sleep (two and a half hours) in...well, I'm five and a half hours away from being awake for 24 hours. It was a good day. No writing done, but I relaxed after work with my family and then with Katie's. Movies were watched, fireworks were watched, and now, per the Fourth of July tradition, Yankee Doodle Dandy is playing on the TV. Movie made me fall for James Cagney. But I'm listening to this over and over again. It's beautiful and the video itself is more so.

Speaking of videos, there's a new interview video out with Adrian Pasdar, from the Saturn Awards. He's candid, honest, a bit shy, and looks really good. Plus he mentions Comic Con, which is also a plus. I knew he was going to be there, but he says himself he will be. :D

What would be crack is if we could get Obama at Comic Con too. You know the Presidential Heroes Fanboy wants to get a scoop in on this season, too. That would make myras_girls die or something.

Interesting interview. Adrian's body language made him come across as quite shy, I agree. He was a bit like that when I met him at the autograph table at Collectormania GMEX last year, although both times he thought of something to say after I'd turned to go and called out to me, which of course gave me a big happy. And then he was completely different in the photo booth, where he seemed a lot more comfortable with the fans (and THAT encounter left me staggering out of the booth like a drunk, hee). It was reassuring to see that celebrities can get a bit shy too when they're not quite comfortable with their surroundings. Which of course can happen to anyone, regardless of how well-known they are, but it's reassuring, nonetheless.

What did he say both of those times? How was he in the photo booth? Doesn't he have an intoxicating effect on people? I love that about him. After a meeting with him, I feel like dancing and get all energized. I have not seen him out of his element yet. Two times he was at his play and once was at the Jules Verne event for Heroes, in LA. So not really a convention. I've seen Milo at a convention and he seems to lock up around fans. Can't blame him at all. How would you be if you had a horde of fangirls after you? :(

Hee. I think to answer those questions I need to link you to my entry about my visit to Collectormania GMEX, which can be found here. (Ignore the Thurs-Fri entries if you prefer as they're not convention-related.) Misc background info alluded to in entry: 1) THAT email is the one I got from Showmasters a couple of days before telling me Adrian was going and you coud hear my screech all the way down the street. ;) 2) I got to meet him (and Milo) for about 5 seconds in the photo booth at LFCC earlier that year, hence my reference to getting to meet him "properly" this time.

I can't blame Milo (or any actor) either - I'd be bloody terrified if I had a load of slavering fans after me! We're just so lucky to see as much of people like Adrian as we do and I do try to show my respect for the people I meet as much as possible, because they are wonderful. :)
