Fictional Accounts of Politicians

I don't talk about politics, and I'm not even a fan of the West Wing, but this account of a meeting between Barack Obama and former President Jed Bartlet, as written by Aaron Sorkin, and appearing in Maureen Dowd's column, is totally made of win.

When I saw [livejournal.com profile] pocky_slash's post about this (thanks, btw! *S*), I totally thought of you, [livejournal.com profile] thepandorarose. But being how it is in The New York Times, I'm betting you've already seen it. But no worries: I guess the online version is different? I'm curious if this is complete or not.

I really got a giggle when Bartlet mentioned The Dixie Chicks. That just brings it all around. :D

lol, seriously! I pretty much worship the guy.

And yes, Jen needs to watch the show. I still miss it, omg.

I tend to go for the obvious as far as shipping go, so of course Josh and Donna were my OTP, but I also entertained the thought of CJ/Toby (but ended up loving CJ/Danny! lol) and Sam/Ainsley. You?

Miss it soo much!

I'm a huge Danny/CJ girl. Sam and Ainsley we're cute, couldn't choice, loved him with Leo's daughter just as much.

I got big into fandom with Danny and CJ and it was what made me a habitual fan fic writer.

I started it as a exercise to see if I could copy Sorkin's rhythm and so on.... and well got out of hand. lol.

I follow the West Wing actors in the theatre, I've gotten to see Alison, Brad and Richard. And I met Brad! And Sorkin talked to me on facebook and it made my year! lol.

His dialogue is addictive like crack.
