Podcasting News!

Haven't mentioned this yet, but [livejournal.com profile] brokenbacktango and I are gonna be making a podcast. It's going to follow Heroes a great deal, but that's not the only topic we'll talk about. There will be more. Not sure what that more is gonna be, but there will. ;)

After recording our first podcast, we decided to do some retooling because both of us use some of the favorite guttural fillers. You know, 'uhh,' 'like,' and 'um.' But we're better now. :D

But the same cannot be said about Eric Kripke. Geez man. You're doing an interview. You've done interviews before. You've spoken at conventions before. Don't use the guttural fillers. XD So how does that make you feel, Katie? You're doing better than Eric Kripke.

Though he gets points for referring to what is between Dean and Sam as "bromance." I gotta salute him for that. Does Tim Kring even know the term?

And for your viewing pleasure, listen to the description of the next episode, with all of those guttural fillers! That's kinda made of fail a bit, Kripke. Sorries!

Bromance. Teehee.

*snickers*

Aw, I love Kripke. The dude clearly was not prepared for that taping.

The Supernatural plate behind him is freaking me out...

He's good. *nod* He wasn't, but he still brought out all the guttural fillers.

Really? I think it's pretty keen. *L*

It almost looks like he's in some sort of staff writing room but the cheap looking SPN merch set up behind him is weird and off-putting.

Of course he uses guttural fillers! He's a man, baby! ;)

(Do you know I've edited about 6-7 minutes out of our recording? Sounds great though!)

*nod* Yeah. Have you seen the walls of the Heroes office? They plaster it with mag covers and clippings.

LOL You know what I mean. :P

Wow! I'm glad that it sounds great! :D

That sounds so cool! I'm looking forward to your podcast! Is it going to be a video podcast, like on themovieblog.com (I quite enjoy those).

[identity profile] fangirljen.livejournal.com 2008-10-08 07:32 am (UTC)(link)
No, just an audio one. We don't have enough space for a video one.

Oh I love podcasts! Are you going to talk about me too, you know, about how much awesome I am? XD

So, how will you two do this? Are you going to have a chat or will there be separate podcasts?

[identity profile] fangirljen.livejournal.com 2008-10-08 06:40 pm (UTC)(link)
You may come up. :D And your S&M bears!

*L* I'm going to her house and we'll be recording then. She lives a few blocks away from me.

Jesus Kripke, I know you can speak! I've seen you do it in front of lots of people, what the hell?? Still, next ep sounds really interesting and I knew Dean would find out about Sam being a MORON and would inevitably kill him for it.

[identity profile] fangirljen.livejournal.com 2008-10-08 06:41 pm (UTC)(link)
NOOES! No older brother killing the younger one! That's unacceptable!

[identity profile] lady-entropy17.livejournal.com 2008-10-08 09:10 pm (UTC)(link)
No, no actually killing...just shit loads of yelling and possibly a punch or two.

ROFL. Kripke on your lj post, i had to check twice but it's really YOU :D Ah, bromance, i love him♥

Hey now, I sometimes talk about Kripke. Like, one other time. When I was pimping that Kring/Kripke fanfic. This just adds fuel to that fire. *L*

I was also using Kripke as an example of what not to do while giving an interview in hopes of reassuring [livejournal.com profile] brokenbacktango. It's like "LOOK! Even people in the field do it too! Worse than us!" &hearts

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I can't wait for your podcast!!!

edited because I meant to put "for" not "to" (using my iPhone and sometimes it can be a bitch)

I have nothing to offer except WORD. That's what's been bugging me all the time about these intros. I mean, they're not live-- you could tape them two or three times until you have a version that's a little more sophisticated, particularly since Eric is clearly capable of whole, fluent sentences. *huffs*
