Observation to the LJ Clutterfuck

So...LJ, Russian and Seattle-based part of the company fired a bunch of people to consolidate. This results in people running scared and leaving LJ, or taking precautions...or not just taking precautions, and just jumping ship all together. Hm. Might this in itself result in the company closing up if enough people leave? I don't think that'll be the case, but if that was the cause, people's fear so they leave...kinda interesting. Bravo, LJ. Congrats on instilling more faith in your masses. I wonder how much their stock went down. That is, if they're on the Stock market. Hmm.

I know I have no intention of jumping ship, and it's kind of sad and really counter-productive for people to do so. What would help in this case is people actually continuing to use it, volunteer work, and purchasing accounts. It's just a self-filling prophesy if people start to leave. :-(

Not saying I'm not taking precautions, but we also stockpiled for Y2K just in case the impossible happened, and look, it didn't. There's a huge line between being prepared and panicking, I think!
