That Writing Season
Sep. 5th, 2007 11:59 pmStill feeling like I haven't accomplished much. Well, I did a lot of sleeping today. That should count for something--only I still feel so exhausted after I wake up. I blame it on staying up really late and the bloody heat. The heat's just evil. Too many days have been over 100.
One good thing I did do, just did in fact, was make a post about NaNoWriMo on my writing journal,
writerfangirl. Anybody out there who's thinking about doing NaNoWriMo this year? I've done two years in a row now over on
rachelcaine's journal,
nanonov. Great community over there. Rachel also gives writing advice (she's published...erm, I want to say at least twenty novels, a few short stories, articles, etc), offers prize drawings for the people who meet the weekly challenge, and has, in the past, offered a cool incentive for those who finish the 50,000 word requirement: a dedication in her book. :D I didn't make it in 2005, but I got listed in a book this year for 2006. In fact, there was a mess up and I got both my real name and my LJ name in there. *L* Sorry about that, Rachel. I also want to hold a comm, one that is just for my friends and me, though. That would be
pesky_muse.
I'm feeling good about this. It's early Sept. and I'm making these plans for Nov. It's better to start early, though. Trust me on this. Helps soo much!
