Free music to listen to? OMG!!! *squee and slaps on Howie Day* Something pretty to listen to while I'm here pretending to work looking busy.
Thanks!
I sent you off an e-mail because I wanna take part on Serenity Now. I just need someone to go with. I invited my friend Kristen who isn't a Browncoat but loves Serenity. On her B-day I loaned her Firefly. Hopefully by June she has watched all the eps. I still haven't seen all the eps. I missing "War Stories" and one other. Not sure what that other is, though. It's a Simon and River one.
Yay! :) Thanks for the reply! And I thought the last time I was going to see the film was with you guys in...erm, whereever that was that one day in...February? Or was it March? Ugh. Brain has turned to mush. That was so fun, though!
IT was February down in Santa ana. That was my 2nd shindig ever with the group. :) My how things have changed (improved) since then. :) I'm damned excited about seeing the film one more time on the big screen too.
Also, they don't have any Joss songs at Karaoke. Only two I'd know is the Ballad of Serenity and the Ballad of Jayne. :)
Was it? Wow. Yeah. I remmeber it just wasn't LA. But where? Couldn't remember. Wow, really? Cool! And now you're like, the head? If I got that right? *L* I'm just a lurker who can come and play when 1. I'm not working, and 2. when I have a ride. I need to be whisked away by my very own Firefly crew, I think.
Yes!! :) And is this a good copy? It's not liney, is it?
Aww, noes. :( You should do your own Karaoke. I had a cheap machine many years ago. It was pretty cool. I semi know the Ballad of Serenity as well as erm, I believe it's called "Walk Through the Fire." :) It's from "Once More With Feeling."
Nice imagry! We have yet to see Daniel in women's clothing. He should do some crossdressing one of these seasons. Heh. Ben Browder has some experience with that. :)
If you're referring to an episode...I have no idea what you're referring to. ^_^;;; I remember him using his hands as a spaceship, and a UAV, and a flying Goa'uld, but not a helicopter.
It was a spaceship? I totally don't remember that. *L* Yeah, he threw those in too. So adorable! :)
Daniel's willing to humiliate himself as much as he has to in order to get the point across. It's more about communication more than anything. He has a natural diplomatic way about him, though never being professionally trained as a diplomat. His drive for others to understand is as important to him as his own drive to understand is. He tickles my fascination to no end. :)
As I recall, he was trying to explain what they needed the naquada for, and tried to pantomime a spaceship, but the Unas didn't get it so he had to use the staff weapons as an example instead. That bit always makes me facepalm but he's just so damn cuuuute when he does it. XD
The thing about Daniel is that I think he's *only* willing to do humiliating things for the sake of communication; he won't do them just for the heck of it. And he's not embarrassed when he does it, either. (Heck, I don't think he even got embarrassed about the whole "Naked One" thing.)
Oh right!! Yeah, I remember that! I saw that a few months ago, too. Ugh. Memory has been getting more fuzzy as of late. Like, I was sure that I had something planned for today, but darn if I can remember what it is.
Hm, that's true. But Daniel is -all- about communication, so there really aren't any other times where he could be doming something that isn't for the sake of communication. He has no problems with being embarrassed. He seems that he only gets embarrassed over sexual things, but only when they are overt: subtext and subtextual flirting doesn't bother him one bit. (He doesn't mind being naked---except when he gets deascended in Jack's office because he has nothing to wear! And I must wonder about whose choice that was to deascend him there. *snicker* Was it subconsciously? Awww.)
I think he probably Descended in Jack's office because he wanted to hurry and let them know he was okay, but totally forgot he'd be bare-assed. XD I HAVE to wonder, though, if there were any "Dr. Jackson, SGC streaker" jokes offcamera.
But Jack's OFFICE?! Why not his room on base? At least then he could get some clothes! Not just bare-assed, bare everything! *L* Heh. I wouldn't be surprised. Maybe Michael lost a bet. :)
I kind of imagine him getting on base, still Ascended, and seeing everyone in the briefing room. So he goes "Oh, they think I'm dead, I'd better show them I'm alive and solid again!" So, not wanting to distract them from the briefing, he goes over to the nearest private space and Descends. But by the time he remembers "Oh shit, I'm gonna be NAKED!" it's too late and he's human again. :D
I love that: "alive and solid again." *L* Because he can be alive and not solid. *giggle* Wow, that's considerate of him, too! *snicker* You have great logic.
We never get enough of him being Ascended. I hope we get to hear more about that this year. I want the Ori to really stick it to him about that. :-D
Oh hell yeah, I want more Ascended Daniel stuff. They kind of glossed over that way too fast, and this is the PERFECT opportunity for them to explore it more, given the fact that the Ori are, ya know, ASCENDED. I was disappointed that they didn't do anything with it in season nine, but there's always hope, I suppose.
Woohoo!! Naked chicken dance!! *squee* Actually, I was thinking of something similar: Chicken Run. Oh, and Dr. Who. The 9th Doctor makes a cute chicken. :-D
You know, that reminds me: I need a ME as a Pirate Wench icon!!
Ooh, nice! Was he the same one who was walking around the Ren Faire on Saturday? I saw that man twice but I was too chicken to say something. Not sure why. *L* What did the makeup crew guy at D-Land say?
*woo, loves the distraction* Are you going to see Brian for Serenity Now?
I have multiple pics! :) What I want is one from the movie, though! I haven't seen any good clips of me---in fact, I have only seen one, and I'm just a blur. *L* So much for me!
Haha, glad you saw him too! *blinks* "It must be" what? *L*
Hehe. But wasn't he EXPECTING someone to say something to him? I mean, he's at D-Land! I'm glad he liked it! :)
Yes, the very same! See? He's posting here too. *points up along the thread*
You should come to Serenity Now, too! That's June 23rd. Tickets available now to members on the So Cal Browncoats list. Fun little Pasadena viewing of Serenity.
Since we'll be at D*C together or almost together, certainly be hanging out, so um.. yeah, I've friended you. Looking at the travel schedule Alli posted I am thinking we'll all meet up at the airport. Woo hoo, D*C!

Brian as in... Brian Rubin?
