If you're referring to an episode...I have no idea what you're referring to. ^_^;;; I remember him using his hands as a spaceship, and a UAV, and a flying Goa'uld, but not a helicopter.
It was a spaceship? I totally don't remember that. *L* Yeah, he threw those in too. So adorable! :)
Daniel's willing to humiliate himself as much as he has to in order to get the point across. It's more about communication more than anything. He has a natural diplomatic way about him, though never being professionally trained as a diplomat. His drive for others to understand is as important to him as his own drive to understand is. He tickles my fascination to no end. :)
As I recall, he was trying to explain what they needed the naquada for, and tried to pantomime a spaceship, but the Unas didn't get it so he had to use the staff weapons as an example instead. That bit always makes me facepalm but he's just so damn cuuuute when he does it. XD
The thing about Daniel is that I think he's *only* willing to do humiliating things for the sake of communication; he won't do them just for the heck of it. And he's not embarrassed when he does it, either. (Heck, I don't think he even got embarrassed about the whole "Naked One" thing.)
Oh right!! Yeah, I remember that! I saw that a few months ago, too. Ugh. Memory has been getting more fuzzy as of late. Like, I was sure that I had something planned for today, but darn if I can remember what it is.
Hm, that's true. But Daniel is -all- about communication, so there really aren't any other times where he could be doming something that isn't for the sake of communication. He has no problems with being embarrassed. He seems that he only gets embarrassed over sexual things, but only when they are overt: subtext and subtextual flirting doesn't bother him one bit. (He doesn't mind being naked---except when he gets deascended in Jack's office because he has nothing to wear! And I must wonder about whose choice that was to deascend him there. *snicker* Was it subconsciously? Awww.)
I think he probably Descended in Jack's office because he wanted to hurry and let them know he was okay, but totally forgot he'd be bare-assed. XD I HAVE to wonder, though, if there were any "Dr. Jackson, SGC streaker" jokes offcamera.
But Jack's OFFICE?! Why not his room on base? At least then he could get some clothes! Not just bare-assed, bare everything! *L* Heh. I wouldn't be surprised. Maybe Michael lost a bet. :)
I kind of imagine him getting on base, still Ascended, and seeing everyone in the briefing room. So he goes "Oh, they think I'm dead, I'd better show them I'm alive and solid again!" So, not wanting to distract them from the briefing, he goes over to the nearest private space and Descends. But by the time he remembers "Oh shit, I'm gonna be NAKED!" it's too late and he's human again. :D
I love that: "alive and solid again." *L* Because he can be alive and not solid. *giggle* Wow, that's considerate of him, too! *snicker* You have great logic.
We never get enough of him being Ascended. I hope we get to hear more about that this year. I want the Ori to really stick it to him about that. :-D
Oh hell yeah, I want more Ascended Daniel stuff. They kind of glossed over that way too fast, and this is the PERFECT opportunity for them to explore it more, given the fact that the Ori are, ya know, ASCENDED. I was disappointed that they didn't do anything with it in season nine, but there's always hope, I suppose.
